A Passion For The Backcountry

Hi, I’m Cole Visser, founder of Bar MV Enterprises LLC. My passion for hunting, horse packing, conservation, and the outdoors runs deep—it’s been a way of life for as long as I can remember. My wife and I recently decided to take that passion one step further and turn it into a business built around what we love most: the mountains, the hunt, and reliable horses.

We didn’t want to be another outfitter or hunting guide service. Instead, Bar MV was created with a very specific purpose: to give hunters of all ages and skill levels access to safe, dependable pack horses for hauling out their game. Think of us as the “backcountry Uber” for your bull, buck, or camp gear—no guiding, no tips, just straightforward pack-in and pack-out support when you need it most.

Meet The Team

From spike-camp logistics to full meat hauls, Bar MV provides dependable horse-packing services tailored to your hunt and terrain.

Rebel

A 15-year-old Quarter Horse who’s been with me since I was a teenager. He’s done it all: ranch work, hunting, roping, packing, and hauling thousands of miles. Rebel is the steady rock of the herd, with a goofy streak that makes him the first to greet you at the gate.

Reno

Short in stature but big in personality, Reno came to us from Ennis, MT. Originally trained as a barrel horse, he’s proven himself as a versatile mountain, cow, and rope horse. Always ready for a snuggle, Reno has quickly become a customer favorite and is heading into his second hunting season with us.

Twig

The newest and youngest member of our herd, Twig is a 2-year-old we purchased in March. With strong ranching bloodlines, she’s been undergoing training and showing plenty of promise. This fall will be her very first hunting season, where she’ll be lightly used as she continues learning the ropes. We have high hopes for Twig to become a well-rounded and reliable pack horse for years to come.

Lakota

Lakota was Cole’s first start and she’s proven herself over and over - worth her weight in gold. From sorting and ranch work to packing and now motherhood, she does it all. After having her first filly in March, she’s getting back in shape for the 2025 hunting season.

Reno #2

Owned by Cole’s dad, this seasoned horse has done it all—ranch work, packing, and everything in between. A reliable old hand.

8Ball

Also owned by Cole’s dad, 8Ball brings strong ranching experience to the team. This is his first season with our herd, and we’re glad to have him.

Winona

Too young to work, too cute to care. She’s just here for moral support, snack breaks, and causing minor chaos. Catch her supervising the grown-ups and perfecting her zoomies.
